Dear friends,some important news concerning the meeting:

1.-Unfortunately, Thomas Mann, the European Deputy cannot come - he hasgot an important meeting in Brussels meanwhile. We regret mostly. Nevertheless, send us your questions. Perhaps he will come in spring orsummer and we can ask him your questions and inform you about his answers.

2.-I am sending you the program as we see it till now, please don'thesitate to ask and to do other suggestions.

3.-You will also find the list of teachers and a list of students withthe number you announced. Please fill in the name of your students comingand their age.

4.- It would be great if you could send your ideas for the new project toall partners till 15th of november. As you see, we would like to do the final design of the new project Friday morning, not with the whole group,but in a small group of teachers (1 or 2 of each partner-school and newpartners if they can come), we think that this will work better. The colleagues designing the new project can't take part in the visit of "Heraeus-company", but everybody will have the possibility to take lunch in their super-modern cantine.

5.- I am sending you also an explication, how to come toHanau-railway-station from Francfort-Airport. If ever you arrive in AirportFrankfurt/Hahn (low-budget-fly), you will have another explication. Does everybody have the schedules yet?

6.- You will find the whole results - and especially those for the topic "work" on the homepage: frame: project/upper horizontal frame:project-activities/no.11 bargraphs of all countries. We have opened a the forum under "discussions" - work. You will find a first reply from astudent of us. Please motivate your students to become member of the forumand to take part in the "discussions".

7.. Please inform us about the technical support you need for the presentation of your results. I hope you are all well.

Dear Comenius-friends, (September 2005)

I hope you are all well and that you enjoyed your summer holidays.
I am very glad that all schools have been accepted for the 3rd period!!

We are actually thinking about the meeting from 30th of November to 4th of December.

An official invitation will arrive in your school very soon. It is addressed to the headmaster.

Please tell me as soon as possible, how many teachers will come in order to reserve accommodation for teachers, for students there is time. Unfortunately we cannot assure private accommodation for all teachers as some of us live very far from Hanau or haven’t got enough place. But we have private accommodation for 1 to 2 teachers of each delegation. For the others there will be hotel accommodation. The price of the hotel is 75€ per day for a double-room and 50€ for a single-room, breakfast included.

We did a planning for the program. You will have it in September/October. As the program is very charged – f.i. new Comenius-project, I think we should focalise the meeting in Hanau on one of our main topics: “professional life/technical progress”, and deal with the other one: “European Citizenship” at the meeting in Nîmes. Could you agree with this?

Details for the program: 2nd of December there will be a visit of a great industrial company. We have also got the agreement for a meeting with our regional European deputy, Thomas Mann the same day.

We are going to publish the complete results of our questionnaire (so also the parts: “work “and “social and political identity” on the homepage. Please ask all your students to become member of the forum and become member yourself. This can improve the information and the communication of all project-members because we have the possibility to send e-mails to everybody.

The next meeting could be prepared by discussing the results of the part “work” on the forum. My students will prepare this. It would be great, if your students took part in it. We can do the same with the results of the part “political and social identity” for the meeting in Nîmes.

4. In order to prepare the meeting with our European deputy: please ask your students to prepare precise questions they want to ask him and send us the questions. The questions should not be to general in order to avoid long political statements, but students should say what they are expecting from European Parliament and its deputies; they could f.i. deal with the work of European deputies and what they can do exactly to improve meetings of Young People, exchanges and so on.

New Comenius-project: As you remember perhaps, Pilar suggested to do a project about attitudes of consumption of young people and how to educate young people to become responsible consumers. We think, this is a good idea, are you also interested in this kind of project?

During the meeting we have to prepare the application of the new Comenius-project. We can only be successful, if each partner sends the ideas for the new project to all other partners till end of october. Than German Comenius-Group or another partner can do a design of the new project and send it to each partner, so that we already can develop ideas for activities for the first project-period during the meeting.

New partners: There is a school in Sweden/Stockholm interested. They did exchanges with Pilar. I have got some contacts to Poland, more or less interesting ones. I will send you more information about the schools in october, so we can decide whom we could take as partner. Do you have other contacts?

Do you think, it would be good to invite them to the meeting in Germany?
